Trinity Lutheran Church
As part of our desire for the courtyard to serve the community beyond a summer Sunday morning worship space, a prayer labyrinth was incorporated into the courtyard design. Walking a labyrinth is an ancient spiritual practice used for relaxation, meditation and prayer. Entering the labyrinth from the outside circle, you walk on the circular paths defined by the dark colored pavers. The goal is in the center of the labyrinth. Then you return by the same path. The entrance to the labyrinth and the entrance to the center combine to form a cross in the design. Information about prayer labyrinths, instructions for walking, and two meditations based on Psalm 23 and Amazing Grace are available online or in the church office.
